Stress, heaviness, despair..., pressure. Could these factors in our lives be, at times a result of looking at matters through our eyes and not God’s? I sit contemplating getting dressed. So much to do and absolutely no time to do it in. Stressed. Everyone’s depending on me to get it done, as I’ve professed often that no one is gonna do it for you. Heaviness. I’m still not dressed and the televisions watching me now. I’d rather just sit here. Despair. No, I’ve got to get up. Even if my mind is not there, I’m going. I’ve made the commitment. Pressure... What does it all sum? Close your eyes. A good cup of coffee doesn’t hurt too but meditate on who Christ is to you. Consider and recant to yourself all of the Word of God you know. It’s times like this where application of what you’ve accumulated in your walk, takes center stage vs. stress, heaviness, pressure, all of it. This is not all there is. Now open those eyes. Even if you can’t feel it now, know that on the other side of what is b...

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh_Mathew 12:34... With immediate information at our fingertips feeding our flesh 24/7, many have fallen away from what was taught to them as youth. The generation that kept Christ first is dying and their descendants are under the impression that those before them had it all wrong. They preach, slaves were force fed white religion and homosexuals re-wrote the bible. They feed on hypocrisy in the church as it validates their disposition on the whole matter of God. They believe that they are God and in so doing, corrupt their minds, bodies, and soul's. The trouble only multiplies as they post, print, and disseminate imagery polluting others that don't take the time to study and find God for themselves. Readers who know, tell them; don't knock Him until you've tried Him. O taste and see that the Ltd is God: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him_Psalms...

What a loving, merciful, forgiving, and faithful God we serve. A love that'd give up His only Son to save a world full of people who ignore The Gift. A mercy that endures the pain we inflict upon Him when we deliberately disregard the safeguards placed within our moral selves only to indulge in vices that corrupt our souls. Yet, He is faithful to forgive, and forgive, and forgives, and forgives again... should I go on? To truly and intimately know God is to become His servant. A servant of God realizes that ultimately, the choices we make are subject to His Will and that His Will is the path that will lead us most directly to our perfect life. All of us saints were once slaves to our flesh and destruction and having undergone a rebirth found in Christ, eclipse our past as God's plans are revealed, old things are past away, and become brand new. Wake up fresh without care or thought for only yourselves. Give yourselves to God's Will making yourselves servants to one another ...

Most life lessons that go unlearned, must be repeated. Unlike public schools of education, pupils do get left behind. Higher education requires considerable payment but pales in comparison to the costs incurred upon failing in life. We enter this world learning and exiting, if in our right minds, assessing all the knowledge we'd amassed. Asking the question, did we understand all that was gained and could it be imparted to others. Knowledge is gained but is it understood. Wisdom is the application of the knowledge we understand. The longer we live, the more we find how little we actually know. If you learn nothing else from this life, please know that God is always in control. If you understand that simple principle then you can accept what comes your way as you do His will. He has a plan for your life. His plan has no mistakes in it. He is always working on it, not to fix it but to see it to completion. Take your lessons seriously and remember that there is no failure in God, no ...

Just a few. A few men, a few fish, a few dollars. God can do so much with so little. Think twice before asking for more blessings as opposed to thanking Him for the ones you have. Count them. A few blessings may be all you need. Consider the fact that as believers, we're passing through this life in an endurance race to a goal many won't reach. Offer what "few" you have, taking on the heart and mind of a giver. "..., and yet, another seed is planted."

Evening readers. Consistent, unwavering, predictable. These are terms that conjure mental images of things you depend upon. Before you find fault in the ability of a nation, an organization, or a person to deliver these qualities; can you confirm them within yourself? To much is given, much is required. Well, what is given, must still be earned and in the earning curve, the "required" part starts to make sense or unravel only to leave the learner of this education strengthened or left in tatters. Time. Time is the rule in where we evaluate these lessons and appreciate the aforementioned qualities. The value of time and the observance of its affects in/on life appear to be losing their appeal with regards to this next generation i.e., the millennials. Much study and time have been invested in finding creative ways to gain the attention of this league of new wave people. It would seem that irony is not without a sense of humor. Value your time. Value the time of others. Realize...

Pain will change a person. The changes that occur vary from minor to drastic. A poor grade on a test affecting a final grade, which in turn decreases a gpa might change options regarding higher education goals. Loss of a loved one needs no lengthy explanation as readers of this post who've experienced such loss can assuredly attest to the facts behind changes of this kind. It is not uncommon for people to handle life and all it encompasses through the lenses of pain. Some grow stronger through pain while others carry it, never releasing it's temporary hold. The Truth about pain is that if it doesn't kill you, then it will indeed make you stronger. Question is, what part of your life is going to benefit from the new strength? Will the benefit be of a positive or negative nature? Failure may convince you to do your due diligence next time or increase your penchant to complain about your life. Not being acknowledged for your efforts openly may humble you, leading to a more rew...

The audience I anticipate will follow this blog will be a network, primarily consisting of faith based believers and those who seek to encourage others. I'll begin blog#37 as if I've never stopped writing. I'll communicate as if I've gained a faithful following of committed readers, since the blogs inception. None of this may be true but encouragement fills my heart this evening. Fresh off the heals of a second service whereby one of our illustrious ministers was officially ordained as a pastor, Im beaming with a rejuvenated spirit, filled with excitement, convincing me to write..., again. It is my sincerest hope that as I continue writing this blog that my experiences, encourage someone to keep dreaming. Keep fighting. Keep loving and keep living. Death, sorrow, frustration, education, and celebration summed up this weekend. Often times, we can become disconnected from the things in life that matter most. The grind we call life can take a toll if we allow ourselves to...

Another week as a believer, in the record books and annals chronicling the lives of God's people has passed on into the past. What have you logged in on time given to building The Kingdom? How much time have you accumulated investing in a stronger relationship with your Savior? These are typical questions you can ask yourself when evaluating your walk. Don't mind asking or petitioning others who witness your living witness. They will not face judgement with you. Your walk will be executed according to The Word of God in,"fear and trembling". A made up mind to serve God till you die is ample ground and all God needs to ensure your victory on this side of The Kingdom. If you are unhappy or unsatisfied with your results and still have life and breath, then you've got another opportunity to achieve better results. We are forgiven. Live forgiven. Live with the strength of a loving God on your side. Bold, courageous, victorious, and destined for continual growth. NO LIM...

What is consistency and how does it pertain to God? How does one go about expressing oneself, sharing the blessings of God without looking like someone needing a forum to run their mouth? I'll tell you..., give it to God. Man can't deliver 10 times out of 10 but Christ can. No man could ever be as consistent as The Creator of all of Heaven and Earth, having the seasons, years, months, and days accurately move in time and sync. So, to express this awe in a state of pure amazement is not an attempt to spout nonsense but to do what we we're all put here to do and that is..., to give God glory. Myself and a colleague of mine briefly discussed, love. That undoubtedly sounds incredible silly as love saved of us from eternal damnation. My comment rests solely on the fact that we were only passing each other in the hallway, thus affording us only a brief opportunity for conversation. Her response to a statement I'd made is what really started the whole thing. At some point, I had said that love never fails, which prompted her to immediately come back with, "yes it does". She then went on to justify her response in light of the fact that a professor at an institution of higher learning gave her a failing grade on a paper she'd written, attempting to prove that love never fails. Well, all it took was a failing grade to sway her belief but what about the Saints? This is where I stood ground and quickly asked her what the teachers point of reference was. A look of amusement scrolled across her face as she realized where I was going with the discussion. Yes, given Ch...

Be better. Be better by being consistent. Be consistent in the things you've chosen to do for Jesus. Do for Jesus, those things He's told you to do. Most of those things can be found in His Word. If we become better at reading and studying His Word consistently, He'll reveal to us, the treasures found in the wisdom of His Word. This will in-turn open our eyes and ears up to the gifts He's specifically placed within us, which are designed to bring Him glory.Glory to God forever. That is the goal and that's why we strive... to be better. " ... and yet, another seed is plant ed"

Stuff, stuff, and more stuff. Our daily grind coupled with our internal struggles have seemingly culminated into an amalgamation of superfluous living void of tangible results linked to purpose. Are you on track? Can you fruit from your labor. Yes, granted, you are a Child of The Most High God but would He be pleased with your progress if He was asked? Again, are you on track or could you be doing more? A child, loved by our congregation, recently passed and came as a shock to us all. I had to ask myself these questions. I understand the fact that as believers this is not our home. We are aliens to this earth and destined to live in Heaven. As pilgrims on this journey, we build The Kingdom of Heaven here on earth but it almost appears as though we've begun walking around as if we've got forever to do His will while aware here. I take my hat off to my Pastor who is an example of what I'm speaking of. No one I know runs harder for The Lord, leaving no stone unturned and every...

Saints, we walk a tight rope attempting to reach what we believe we deserve. In doing so, we tread with care and with the knowledge that God's net of grace provides safety to avoid the undeniable doom of what we do deserve i.e., death. Yet and still, we wrestle with pride which comes before a fall, greed and jealous gripping us with a fear of lack, and those are just to name a few. As complicated as all of this may appear to be, we but only lack a clear mind to make a choice. That rudimentary choice lies in faith. Faith that can move mountains is, and always was within your grasp as a Child of The Most High God. Yes, sometimes we must stir up the gift but in doing so, we bring to the surface the flavor necessary to add spice to an ordinary life. Each day is just that, a new day never to be seen again and completely different than any other you've experienced. This fact translates to hope. Hope in God's promises for your life. All you have to do is believe that He is Who He ...

What talents do you possess? What problems are you here to solve? What drives you up the wall and pushes you to get involved? They may all be attached to your call. You must ask yourself these questions and don't spend a lifetime wasting time. Finding the answers early and making your requests and intentions known to God can lead to unimaginable levels of personal fulfillment. God is no respecter of person and his laws are immutable. We complain as the world uses His principles for fame, fortune, and recognition while we idly waist and squander our precious riches in fits of grumbling. What I'm hinting at is not just a monetary value but of something deeper. Search your own heart, value your own time, monitor your walk, and give God his due. He is not slack concerning His promises. Make your vision plain by writing it down. Accept it as completed, having your mountain removed because you believed and simply, "act as if... (full in blank)". "... and yet, another ...

We talk about our president and what he has to face in his matters of political obligation. As believers, I'd say that we're under as much pressure if not more. His opposition is nothing compared to our enemies daily barrage of attacks. There is no time lost in Satan's onslaught against us. The Word of God requires that we are steadfast and unmovable, yet and still we waver at every winds whisper. A minister boasted this afternoon that we should get up and stand fast, knowing in our hearts who God is. A true to life relationship with Christ will give us everything that we need to win this fight. Note that as we wrestle, the outcome of our matches result in incremental marks in our walk with Christ. Keep the course. Be ever vigilant and aware. "... and yet, another seed has been planted"

To do better is not enough. The attitude guiding correction of this mediocre mindset must be one of a strong desire, to be better. The act is not as important as the process, which in the long term, i s expected to bring about effective character change. The Word of God states that," For as he   thinketh  in his heart, so is he:..."_Prov.23:7a. The betterment, progression, and authentic growth experience and produced in adversity will equip the believer with the ability to teach earnestly through fully grounded faith. God has given each of us a measure of faith. Don't think you can,  know you can be better with every step in the light of Christ. "...  and yet, another seed has been planted"

What does it matter if you gain the entire world only to lose your soul.  We traverse this world navigating its crazy paths, often being led in multiple directions. I   tweeted earlier today that,"not only will the Holy Spirit convict your heart but it'll convict your mouth as well". Ask yourself,"what have I been proclaiming, claiming, and going after this year". Use the turning of the new year that's fast approaching as a launch pad for a new lease on mind, heart, and mouth dedicated to lifting up Christ. Trust me, you cannot go wrong! At the beginning and end of the day, you resolve to make up in your mind that, for God I live and for God I'll die must hold fast. This world is openly expressing its disdain for all things Holy and of God. It apologizes to no one and expects to be forgiven unapologetically for it's intentionally destructive behavior. Now, don't get the wrong idea. Mat. 7:1-3," 1  Judge not, that ye be not judged.  2  For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.  3  And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Knowing this, we can implement salvation into the equation and reference Christ's blood shed covering all sins for the believer. Yes, which is wherein the crux of our dilemma viewing/discussing the plight of this world. Let us be busy living for God, fighting the good fight, and demonstrating His love. Having no fear in us, bein...

Paul Walker. RIP to a seemingly good guy and by all appearances, social activism, and interviews; a real dude. Walking in purpose must be tied to a life of showing God off in your walk. Are you exhibiting the power of God in your life? Have you found your purpose? It's funny, most people'd associate those questions with fiduciary gain and tangible assets physically expressing their answer i.e., bank accounts, cars, houses & land... None of those things have a bit to do with purpose and your life's work in showing God off, unless that's His intention in His will for your life. In other words, God doesn't mind the material just as long as you don't mind the material more than you mind His will being done, building His Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven. Show God off while you still can because only what you do for Christ will last. So when Heaven reads it's final credits via The Lambs Book of Life, make sure your names part of Jesus' cast & crew. ...
