why is that,after all Christ has done for us,we still seek comfort in the things of this world.its almost as if we forget whats been done for us...,and I'm not just talkin about the obvious i.e.,he died on the cross. I'm talking about,he sent me comfort when i thought that i would be evicted through prayer and 1on1 time in worship.then i turn around and start tripping because a loved one is upset with me or things don't go my way at the job.i mean...,is he god or is he not.let us run this race with patience remembering that we are seated in heavenly places as we continually meditate on his word day and night.for all those who read,that was Hebrews , Ephesians ,and Joshua ...this is not a game ...and yet,another seed is planted

2012 was a wake up call to my white majority brothers and sisters. I am assuredly going out on the proverbial limb here as I write on. Please take note that I intend to offend no one but to encourage my brothers and sisters as we move to the close of our first decade in the 21st century. God knows, every race has had its own share of what i call, family unit difficulty. Given the films genre, it begins with the main characters playing out their interactions in typical movie fashion, all of which has unfortunately become current tradition regarding family i.e., failed relationships (marriages specifically),tormented children, and step family drama. This has even become the norm in everyday society. Family, that ain't good. We as believers have all but forgotten that this thing called marriage is a marathon and that love is sacrifice. Our loving God allows us to learn in stages according to our abilities or inabilities to progress along this pilgrimage in a manner in which is pleasing to Him. His plan is to have us live lives that are pleasing to Him. Bumps in the road, cracks in the pavement, and various distractions..., we can come up with all kinds of playful metaphors which can only describe our willful disobedience or ignorance i.e., Hebrews 5:12, "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat."( KJV ) The Lord allowed my entire work year to become a test, a lesson. Did I pass? Reasonable question and time will tell but God gives the grade. A "D" is passing. This walk is a work in progress. All I can say is, I'd rather do this thing with Christ than without Him. hey saints! why is working with fellow believers in the "house" so hard? i asked myself this question and quickly thought about how Christ died knowing He'd be dealing with my mess. God is so good to us, knowing we don't deserve it. funny. i began this post with the idea of expressing a position on an actually situation i had to deal with this weak but as i write i realize that..., i'm just complaining. if i struck a cord, let me know. i'm experiencing a bit of writers block. it's probably my flesh. to God be the glory.
